Currently under development, PadKit is the first-and-only, non-invasive, at-home, easy-to-use gynecologic cancer cell collection screening kit, built on Preprogen’s novel cell science technology, proven to collect whole, intact cells from the gynecologic tract. PadKit empowers women and their physicians to detect endometrial cancer cells early when treatment can be curative or remedied.
There is no standard or routine screening test for endometrial cancer. In addition to endometrial cancer, PadKit helps detect urgent and unmet medical conditions including other gynecologic cancers, known cancer biomarkers (e.g., BRCA1, BRCA2), vaginal infections, infectious diseases including STDs, fetal conditions, and other women’s health issues.
Preprogen’s novel cell science technology, is a proven pathology-based screening technology that allows thousands of cells that naturally shed from all surfaces within the female gynecologic tract to be collected intact on a unique, comfortable, Interlabial Collection Pad™ (ICP) designed to fit the contours of a woman’s body.
The ICP in PadKit is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and should be worn on non-menstrual days, over a 4-6-hour timeframe during the day or overnight. Once returned to Preprogen’s lab, the ICP is screened and analyzed for abnormal cells, signs of infection, and a variety of additional assays including genomic testing.
Preprogen’s PadKit is not intended to replace physician visits, a PAP smear or other diagnostics. It can be used often during the time between annual visits.
